Did you answer YES to any of the above?
Then this is the group for you!
Whether you have studied music for many years or have just begun your studies, you are welcome to join this group. 2026 Upcoming Events
Members have volunteered to perform at Venvi for a second year in a row! Similar to last year, we will have a chance to perform solo and group pieces, but also lead a sing-a-long with all the residents. An outdoor gathering will also take place prior to the concert, where members can meet to chat and hang out. More information to come by email!
2026 Concert Performances and Special Events
We hosted another Fundraiser Concert held at the Ambrose University on May 2nd, 2026. It was a great opportunity for members to showcase their talent and friends and family were also invited to come and show their support. There was a great mix of solo pieces but also duets and newly formed groups. Thank you again so much to everyone who participated and to everyone who came out to watch! Your support is always so appreciated.
We had our first workshop of the year; a "Body Mapping Workshop" hosted by Michèle Wheatley-Brown. Body mapping can help musicians ease tension, prevent injuries, and improve overall body awareness whilst playing and performing. A portion of the session was spent body mapping/examining our arms and how movements, like rotation, are not only generated at the wrist but up and throughout the entire arm. We also took time to better understand how to move, stand, properly generate momentum, and properly breathing. The session ended with members applying these ideas to their own instruments, including the cello, violin, voice, and piano. It was a really fun and informative session - once again, a big thanks to Michèle.
