2025 Concert Performances

For the first time, ALMSG is creating a year-end performance concert on December 20th, 1-4pm at Ambrose University to which we will invite our friends and family.  After the two hour concert, our members invite our audience members to join us at our potluck social.  Stay tuned for more details on this event on our Event Page.

We will be creating a virtual 2 hour concert performance that will be live-streamed to enable our out-of-town members to perform alongside our Calgary members.  The date and time for this concert will be November 29 12:30 - 2:30 pm Mountain Time.  The best thing about live-streaming is that our family and friends that live in other parts of the province, country and the world will be able to tune in and see us perform no matter where they are in the world.  This is the first time that we will attempt this so we are a bit nervous but also very excited to be able to create this unique performance opportunity for all of our members. The ALMSG leadership team will be conducting a mock run of the virtual concert on Nov 14th 1:30 -3:30pm.  This way, we will ensure everything runs smoothly prior to concert date. Stay tuned for more details on our 'Other Events' page.

Our second concert of the year was a joint concert with the Calgary Classical Guitar Society on Saturday, May 31st.  This was held at Christ Moravian Church 2-4 pm.    This event was a resounding success - we split the proceeds of ticket sales between our two non-profit groups.  Not only were we able to fully recoup our portion of the venue and stage balloon accessories costs for the concert but we had a small cash surplus which the leadership team will determine in which way this additonal funds will best benefit our group members. Thank you for supporting both ALMSG and CGSC !

ALMSG had its inaugural concert fundraiser on Saturday, February 1st at a recital hall at Ambrose University.  We received many cash donations at the venue and significant e-transfer donations such that we totally surpassed our fundraising goal!  Thank you to everyone who supported us with your presence on that cold blizzardy concert day.  We are so grateful to you!
